Got a job offer and a check that feels like a scam

I got contacted about a job. I took their online test and they told me I got the position, that training would start in a week. They said they'd pay for a home office setup and all the equipment. There was a lot of back and forth.

Today I got an e-check for $2440.00 and was told someone would be in touch. It just didn't feel right, so I started looking into it. I found out the original email they used to contact me is a known scam address. They send these checks and then claim they overpaid and ask for a refund. I haven't gotten to that part yet, but the check is still supposed to go into my bank tonight.
