Paid for rebar orders, then credit card was disputed and he disappeared

We did a few orders with a guy named Urie Ciotti, who says his business is Ciotti Construction. They were for bundles of rebar. We processed two orders on December 26th, 2025. One was for $832.00 and the other was $1,196.00. We used the same credit card for both.

A delivery company even came to pick up the rebar that same day and confirmed they were picking it up for Ciotti Construction. We kept working with him to sell more after that.

But then on January 10th, 2026, we tried to process another order and the card kept declining. We were still talking to him up until January 21st. Then on January 28th, we got a letter from our bank saying both of those credit card transactions from December were disputed back on January 20th.

Since we got that letter, we haven't been able to get ahold of him at all. His phone number is (646) 925-1324 and he's out of East Quogue, NY. We're out the $2,028.
