Job offer with no interview and a fake check by email

I got a job offer from this company called Citadel Oncology but I never had any interview with them. It was just some bogus form they sent me. All the communication was through email at first and then they wanted me to switch to Telegram.

They sent me a check for $950 by email for "start up expenses and software registration" which didn't make any sense. I stopped right there because I figured it was a scam. The address they gave was 86 Fleet Place in Brooklyn. The email was [email protected]. I didn't lose any money but this whole thing felt strange.
