Paid for home refinancing help and got nothing back

I was trying to refinance my home and take out some equity. I found this company City Home Advisors online and they seemed legit. I talked to a guy named Thomas, his email was [email protected]. They had an address too, 14622 Ventura Blvd #444 in Sherman Oaks, CA.

They asked for money upfront. I paid them $1500. After I paid, they just stopped answering. I called the number they gave me, (424) 355-5610, and nobody picks up. Emails go nowhere. I never got any refinancing help or anything. Just out the money.
