My mother with dementia paid Clear Haven Service $3500 for nothing

My mother has dementia and she paid Clear Haven Service $3500 upfront for a loan modification. They never helped her with anything and refused to give the money back. I only found out after it was already done.

I contacted the California Attorney General and they told me it's illegal to charge upfront for loan modification even if they call it document preparation. So I guess that explains it. I just hope nobody else hires them and loses money like she did.
