Man called saying I owe money on a loan I never took out

Some woman called my son saying she was a process server and there were charges pending against me. He gave me the number and I called it. It was Clearout Solutions.

A guy named Jeff Cory said I owed almost $700 on a loan and there were fraud charges. He told me I had to pay right away so he could file a cease and desist letter. Said I would need to make more payments until the debt was paid off. I didn't ask for proof of the debt, I should have. They charged me for payments.

I got some receipts and a paid in full letter but now I think it was a scam. I lost $690.
