Sent a fake check and asked me to buy Foot Locker gift cards with code pictures

Somebody using the name Colleen Smith emailed me from [email protected]. They said it was for a job. They sent me a check and told me to cash it for them. Then they asked me to go buy Foot Locker gift cards totaling $1,343 and send pictures of the codes on the back.

I did what they said because I thought it was real. The check was fake I guess. I sent the gift card pictures. Now I'm out the money and they won't answer me anymore. The phone number they gave was (828) 316-1633 and the address they put was 442 Morris Ave in Bronx NY 10451. I didn't get any job. Just lost the money on those gift cards.
