Job offer as personal assistant with FedEx package instructions

I got a message from Phillip Coddy saying I was selected to be his personal assistant. Said I would get paid $800 for just 1 to 2 hours a day. Sounded good at first.

Then the next day a FedEx package showed up at my door. It was from Sam's Club Return in Indiana. Inside was a check for $2980.24 from California and a note with more instructions. No real company name on anything except that colonycapitals dot org website.

I didn't cash anything or send money back. Something felt off about the whole thing.
