Lost $450 deposit on a fake apartment rental from Craigslist

I was looking for an apartment and saw a listing on Craigslist that was nearby. I got in touch with the person who posted it, who acted like he was the owner. We talked and he seemed legit. He said he'd rent me the place after checking my background.

He had me use an app called Turbo Tenant and then sent a CashApp request for a $450 deposit. I paid it. Right after the money went through, he stopped answering me completely. He just disappeared.

I reported it as fraud to my bank and to Cash App. Neither one has been able to get my $450 back.
