Phone call about a loan verification that turned into bank fraud

I applied for some personal loans online and then got a call from these people. I thought it was one of the partners from the site I used, stupid mistake. They said they would walk me through an application and needed a deposit for verification that would be returned.

They put me on hold and I started getting alerts from my bank about claims being made. They called back saying the verification amount came through and needed to be sent back manually. But what they actually did was file debit card claims using my info and deposited a mobile check. Most of the amount was just a provisional credit from the claims they filed. I called my bank right away and changed everything, got my accounts locked down and asked for all the money returned and claims cancelled. Do not apply or take any calls from them.
