Job offer from someone claiming to be a package inspector

I got a text from a number (406) 612-4969 about a work from home job as a package inspector. They said they found my resume on Indeed. The pay sounded really good so I emailed [email protected].

They told me I would be getting packages at my house, checking them, and then repackaging them to send out again. Sounded easy enough. But then during the "onboarding" they asked for a photo of my drivers license front and back and a selfie with my ID. Also wanted my W-2. That felt strange.

I did not send anything. I looked up the website Dash-velmora.com and the address 2601 2cd ave N 309, Great Falls, MT and it did not feel right. So I stopped replying. Never got paid or anything, just felt like they wanted my info.

Job offer turned into me losing money and no payment

I got this job through a portal website they gave me called dash-velmora.com. I was supposed to get packages, take pictures of the product, then get a printed label and box it up and ship it out to UPS. They told me I would be paid on 06/11/2026.

I never got any payment and they stopped emailing me. I lost about $4000 in all this. My identity was definitely taken too and I’m worried it could mess up anything I apply for in the future. I really expect to get my money back.

Job offer turned into me sending money for packages

I was contacted by what seemed like a real company about a job I applied for. First it was a Mr Edward, then they passed me to HR, Crystal Labraine, and then Amanda Stone the manager. They had me talking to Jennifer Davis for outgoing packages and Maria Rivera for incoming packages, and a Kevin Howard in hiring ops.

So I ended up sending them $1,600 for something with packages. Their website is https://dash-velmora.com/user/packages.php and they have an address at 1601 2nd Ave N #309 in Great Falls, MT. It all felt like a real job at first but now I don't know what happened.

Hired for a shipping job then locked out of my account

I got a random call and some foreigners answered asking if I wanted to work for a shipping company. I said yes and they sent me a contract through email that I had to sign. They said I’d start delivering packages that would be sent to my house.

I delivered two packages and it said I made 45 dollars. But then I got locked out of my account and never got the money. Now they won’t answer the phone or respond to my emails. Emailed and called saying I got a job but asked for my ID

They emailed me from [email protected] saying I got the job. Then they called from (406) 606-4809 too. They asked for my ID and a photo of me and everything.

I had a feeling something wasn’t right so I looked it up. Their address is 1601 2nd Ave N #309 in Great Falls, MT. The website is https://dash-velmora.com/user. I didn’t send them anything.
