Hired a contractor who took my deposit and never did the work
Later I found out his Handyman Service is a fraudulent company. I looked up the license number on our contract and it's only registered to his Landscaping company. When I called the licensing department they said they have no record of the handyman company at all and the license number I gave them has been in default since April 2026. I lost $3500 to this.
