Got a threatening call about legal documents for my mom
I got a weird voicemail on my phone. It was a woman trying to reach my elderly mother. She said she was calling for DDS and that they were hired to schedule a delivery of legal papers. She left some file number.
The message said they'd only try twice to deliver these documents. If my mom doesn't sign, it'll be a "failed action to serve" and they'd move forward without her okay. They told her to call 877-992-4538 and give the file number to confirm. They even had her address. The caller never said what firm she was with. It felt really off.
