Fake Delta phone number tricked my mother in law about overbooked flight

My mother in law called 888-744-0409 thinking it was Delta Airlines customer service. She wanted to ask about bringing her medical equipment on the plane. The person on the phone told her our flight was overbooked and we had to pay extra money to keep our seats or we would get bumped.

We actually paid. Then we thought about it and realized Delta would never ask for more money to hold your seat. If anything they pay you if you get bumped. My bank helped us get the money back thank goodness.

But then the scammers called us back from 917-410-5386 trying to get their money again. So that number is also a scam. Just dont answer it.
