Job offer from Depotrac turned out to be a scam

I must say I am very disappointed as Depotrac was presented to me as a real organization. I was excited to have landed a new position - one that clearly fit my experience. They even built a BS website to complete the picture. Mark Reed from HR, another fiction, actually sent me what appeared to be a legal agreement inviting me to come onboard as a contractor.

As part of the arrangement, they asked me to wait for 30-days to be moved to permanent status once my duties were performed in a satisfactory manner after the first month. They then assured me they had sent me my first month payment twice and to date, after 56 days, I have received nothing. No phone numbers were included on any emails and the one on the website only accepted voice mails. The scam was presented perfectly. I should have known better.

Hired by Mark Reed at Depotrac and never paid for work or supplies

So I got contacted by this guy Mark Reed who said he was from Depotrac. I signed an Employment Agreement, an NDA, and even a W9. I thought it was a real job. I put in the hours, bought printer ink, packing tape, paper out of my own pocket, and used my gas to deliver packages.

This morning I tried to log into their shipping site and my access was cut off. I tried calling the supervisor Logan Philip at (213) 293-3687 and the payroll department but nobody answered. No response at all. So I finally looked them up on Google and found out some really disturbing stuff. I lost $2,463.00 on this.
