Someone called pretending to be DirecTV and I lost $2,000 on gift cards

Somebody called me and said they was from Direct TV. They told me they was gonna give me half price for 2 years. Sounded legit enough I guess.

They told me to go to Dollar General and get 5 DoorDash cards for $400.00 each. So I did. They had me scratch them off and give them the numbers over the phone. Then they said I needed more. So I went back in and the employee there told me dont scratch them and send it because its a scam. But I already did it by then. Cost me $2,000 total. The number they called from was (866) 487-5880 and they said they was in Saint Marys, OH.
