Bought an RV online and they stopped answering after we refused direct deposit

We found this dealer on RV Trader. They had a 2018 Winnebago View 24J for $27,500. The guy Michael Szymanski, Sales Manager, sent us a bunch of paperwork. A license from New Mexico, a Certificate of Good Standing from the Secretary of State, Carfax reports. Seemed legit.

We paid the money. They said they would deliver it to our house. Then they texted saying the delivery truck broke down, lost a transmission. Then on the day it was supposed to show up they texted again saying the truck got into an accident and the RV was destroyed. They said they would refund our money plus an extra $500 for the trouble if we just gave them our bank info for direct deposit.

We told them to send a paper check instead. That was the last we ever heard from them. No calls, no texts, nothing.
