Someone using eBay charged my card over and over for nothing
I had recurring charges on my credit card from eBay but I never got any items or services for them. They kept taking money out and I have no idea what it was for. I lost about $300 total from this.
The phone number they had on file was (385) 354-7145. I tried looking into it but nothing made sense. I didn't order anything and there was no proof of what I was supposed to be paying for. Just charges showing up every so often.
I don't know how they got my card info but it kept happening. No items showed up, no services. Just money gone from my account.

eBay backs up scammers even when you get ripped off
This is more about eBay having a policy that backs up sellers who commit fraud. I get ripped off every once in a while and eBay totally backs up the scammer each time, claiming nothing was wrong because their seller is a "reputable seller" or "top seller". There is no system in place for real accountability.
I almost think reporting this makes things worse since there is no intervention and others may get the idea to sell non-working items and get away with it. Also eBay is hiding their contact phone number now so no service agents can be reached. The chat "help" is the only thing available and it's too stupid to understand anything. Lost about $32.31 on this last one.

eBay buyer disputed charge for MacBook I sold, left me $1300 in debt
I sold a MacBook Pro M5 2025 on eBay back on December 23rd, 2025. Then on February 8th, the buyer disputed the charge. It put my account $1300 in debt and they keep charging my card for it.
The buyer claims she didn't do it. But I spoke to an eBay representative and that rep told me the buyer did dispute it and they can't do anything about it. So now I'm just stuck with this debt.

Got a fake eBay message about a sale, lost almost $300
I'm a new seller on eBay. I got a message saying a sale was made on one of my items. When I checked it, the message from "eBay" said I had to start a verification process to get paid for my previous orders. I hadn't been paid for those yet.
It redirected me to a page that looked just like eBay. I started the verification they wanted. Next thing I know, the money got snatched right from my account. The charge showed up as rapid skins Bristol. It was $293.93.

Ordered socks on eBay, got a watchband from China instead
I ordered three pairs of socks from a posting on eBay. I never got a tracking number or anything. Then I got a parcel in the mail. It was from China but it had a USPS sticker stuck on top of it. The return address was for some US address. I opened it and inside was just a watchband. That’s not what I paid for. I lost almost $33 on this.
