Someone from Ecautious wanted me on Microsoft Teams only
He refused Google Meets and sent me a picture of an error code. That error code doesn't even exist for Google Meets. Then he wanted to make sure I was getting on Microsoft Teams through a PC specifically.
The whole thing just felt sketchy. His email was [email protected]. I didn't lose any money but nothing about it made sense.
Home warranty letter saying it expires in 2026
The number on it was (888) 507-3992. They tried to get money for an account I don't even have. It's all false and misleading.
Ecautious.com should be looked into. Someone needs to call that number and investigate. It's ridiculous that the US Postal Service gets used for stuff like this.
Phone number called me over 50 times in two days
I finally just blocked the number. I don't know what Ecautious.com has to do with it but that's the name that came up. I never signed up for anything from them and I don't want anything to do with this.
Just wanted to put this out there so other people know.
Voicemail with account number telling me to call back
My bank told me it was a scam and they could not close my account. I wanted to report this to Ecautious.com to warn others.
Text saying my payment was declined and to call a number
I came on here to Ecautious.com to see if the phone number was legit or if it was already documented as a scammer. I found one other case from someone saying they were targeted too.
I don't know what payment they're talking about. I never got any proof or anything. Just that text out of nowhere.
Phone call saying I would be served court papers
So I called and they said they could keep me out of court. They gave me two options, pay the whole amount of 3132.22 or take a deal for 1620.00. I told them I don't have that kind of money. Then they said if I could do a down payment of 324.00 they could do payment arrangements of 100.00 a month starting next month.
I went to the Ecautious.com website and saw the company was a scam. I seen the same scams filed.

I started to realize something was off when I looked up the phone number and it belonged to a private person, not a business. That's when I knew I got scammed.
Ecautious.com should do something about this.
Phone message asking me to call back about my spouse
I didn't recognize the number so I looked up the name they gave and it led me to a warning on Ecautious.com about a scam. The number traces to Peekskill, NY.
Nobody ever said what it was actually about or who they were with. Just a message to call back.
Warranty letter with a number that turned out to be a scam
Something made me want to check the number before I called it. I looked it up and found notes about Ecautious.com being a scam. Glad I checked first.
I didn't lose any money but I'm pretty annoyed this showed up right after I actually bought a warranty. Now I'm second guessing anything that comes in the mail about my car.
Phone call saying he was from BBB about cards in my name
I asked for his number in case we got disconnected and he gave me (281) 628-8346. That's different from the number that showed up on my phone. He verified all my cards by the last 4 digits and he had my SS#. He said some of my cards were red flagged. I asked why and he started talking about my balances and high interest on some cards.
I told him I was confused and didn't understand why someone from Ecautious.com would be talking about this. I said I needed to go and he got a bit agitated. He wanted to know why, asked where I was going since I live alone, and what time he should call back. I told him I didn't want to hear from him again.
Unordered package from an address in Sugar Land Texas
I went to Ecautious.com because they ask people to report this kind of thing. I just received the package so I haven't lost any money yet. But I wanted to report it so it's on record.
Postcard about unclaimed reward asked for my checking account
The person on the phone wanted me to pay a 99¢ fee to get the reward. But they said it was a bigger expense to use a credit card and they really wanted my checking account number instead. I wasn't giving them that. I know I could block a credit card if something went wrong, but not my bank account. So I just hung up. I don't even know what country they were in.
Postal card about $250 reward with no company name
So I called the number on the card, (888) 920-1454. A person answered and gave me a claim number, RW14161251. They asked if I wanted to accept the reward and I said yes. Then they told me there would be a $.99 postal charge to send me the $250.
I said no and hung up. The whole thing just didn't sit right. No company name, no website, just a card saying I won something I never entered.
Woman called claiming to be a legal courier in Lane County
The whole thing felt really strange. She just kept repeating that stuff about being legally notified. The address she gave was in Eugene, OR 97402. I didn't lose any money to this, but it was definitely a phishing type thing. Just weird.
Final Notice letter with no company name on it
But then I tried to find a company name on it and there wasn't one. No dealership name, no website, no fax, nothing. Just a phone number (888) 535-0247 and an address in Uhrichsville, OH. I thought that was weird because any real company would put their name somewhere.
I looked it up online and found the Ecautious.com story about this same thing happening to other people. So it's a phishing scam. I shredded the letter. Just glad I didn't call that number.
Rug showed up I never ordered with a scam return address
When I looked up the return address it was 9208 Charles Smith Ave in Manzanita Oregon. I searched that and a scam alert popped up right away under Ecautious.com. So far I haven't seen any weird charges on my cards but it just got here today. Still feels off.
Mail about my HELOC with no return address
Looked at the company name in the lower right corner, looked it up and found out it was a Ecautious.com spam notice. I didn't call the number they listed. Just filing this report with a photo of the card they sent.
Pop up ad for a job while I was playing games
Text and call about a $750,000 sweepstakes prize I never entered
So I called him back. He kept telling me I was really the winner and I just needed to send a MoneyGram for $900.00 to insure something. He said it would be reimbursed when the check showed up. I didn't send anything and stopped talking to him.
Now they keep calling me nonstop all day leaving messages. I haven't responded.
