Thought I was on the official FBAR site, gave all my financial info
I was searching for FBAR filing and one of the first sites on Google looked like the real FBAR filing site. It was efbar.org. The whole thing looked official.
I went ahead and filled out all my financial information for multiple accounts. It took a while. Only after I finished everything did it pop up asking for a payment. That’s when I realized it was some third party trying to charge me to file the FBAR, when you can file it for free directly with the government.
I didn’t pay them anything. But now I’m really concerned because I put all my personal and financial info into that site.

Got tricked by a fake fbar website, gave out my SSN
I was looking for the real fbar site on Google, and this site efbar.org came up as the top result. I thought maybe FinCEN had switched to online submissions instead of the PDF form. So I went through the whole thing and filled it out. I submitted all my information, including my home address and my Social Security Number. Now I realize it was a scam site. I gave them everything.

Paid to file my FBAR on a scam website that looked official
I was trying to file my FBAR yesterday because I live in Canada and have to do it every year. I searched on Google and this site https://efbar.org/file/ came up first. I didn't know there were other sites, so I thought it was the right one. It asked for payment to file, so I paid $349.
Right after, I realized something was off. I found out the real government site doesn't charge anything to file. I also never got a copy of my report. On the official site you get to download it right away. I don't even know if they filed anything for me. I haven't received anything at all.
