Sponsored ad for Idaho Power led to a fake payment call

A customer came into our store today. He said he was just trying to pay his Idaho Power bill online. He typed “Idaho Power” into Google and clicked on a sponsored result that looked right. It was energexespower.com.

He hit the contact button and it showed our actual Idaho Power logo with a phone number. So he called it. The person on the other end tried to get him to pay a balance he thought was already paid. When he said no, they just hung up on him. Then they called him back from a Nevada number that was spoofed. He came in to warn us about it.
