Passport renewal site took my money and personal info
They charged me $198.00. After I paid, it felt off. I realized I never actually got any confirmation about my passport or anything official. It was just this website taking my info and money.
I tried emailing them at [email protected] but no one ever got back to me. I feel stupid about it, but I really thought it was for my passport. Now I'm out the money and worried about what they might do with my info.
Mistook their site for the real State Department site
They tried to charge their fee to my credit card but my card company flagged it and we refused the payment. We ended up canceling that card and called our bank. They have all my personal information now which is what worries me the most.
Site pretending to be USPS passport renewal took my money
Went to the post office later to ask a question about my appointment and the ladies there told me it was a scam. They said report it to my bank and report it here. I tried going back to that site and now it just goes to the regular post office site. The ladies said those scammers get a lot of people.
I never got my passport or any kind of confirmation that made sense. Just lost the money.
Emailed about passport renewal from fake government agency
They have all my personal info now. My photo, my credit card number, everything. I lost $198. I don't even know what to do. The email came from [email protected] and they said they were in Maryland.
