Got a weird letter about a data breach from a company I've never heard of.

I got this letter in the mail, postmarked December 31, 2025. It's from a company called Conduent, saying my data was breached and they're offering me a 12-month membership to something called Epiq's Privacy Solutions ID. I have never used Conduent. I don't even know who they are.

The letter had a 20-digit code to activate a free account. But when I went to the website to activate it, they started asking for all my sensitive information. My name, address, birthday, and even my Social Security number. It just felt off. Why would I give all that to a company I don't know, for a breach I never heard about? The whole thing doesn't make sense.
