Got a weird job offer about a check and buying Apple products

I got this message about a job. It said as we start working together, I need to tell you how to get your materials. Their financial manager will mail me a certified check. From that check, I take out $850 for my first week's pay. Then I have to send the rest of the money to a supplier. That supplier is supposed to send me a bunch of Apple stuff like a MacBook Air and an iPhone 14 Pro Max, plus an HP printer.

The whole thing felt off. They gave a phone number (203) 704-8700, a website estatepoint.us, and an address in New Haven. The email was [email protected]. It was supposed to be an employment thing, but it didn't make any sense. They wanted me to get a check and then send money somewhere else. I didn't lose any money, but it just seems like a scam.
