They called my mother looking for me about a debt I don't owe

They called my mother first looking for me. Then they started calling me directly saying I owed some debt they were trying to collect. They said I was flagged by their client as evasive and noncompliant and that I needed to call them immediately to avoid some penalty.

They used different numbers to reach out—571-513-5070 and 571-210-4429—but left 409-761-7631 as the callback number. I called them back on 5/15/26. A young lady answered and said I owed money to EZ Loan Money Service. I have never used that service. I have no idea what it is. When I started asking more questions, she hung up on me. So I called back.

A guy answered. I told him I was just talking to a woman who hung up on me. He hung up on me too. Scammers.
