Messenger scam about a grant from someone claiming to be DHHS

I was contacted through Messenger from someone who presented themselves as an agent through DHHS. They kept asking for payment so I could get a grant. I ended up sending them money, it was 10000 dollars total. They said they were from the government or something. The address they gave was MO, USA. I never got any grant. They just kept asking for more money. Felt off but I went along with it. No real proof of anything.
