Buyer on Facebook Marketplace wanted me to call a number for Venmo verification

I was selling something on Facebook Marketplace and this person messaged me about it. At first it seemed normal, they wanted to buy it. But then they kept pushing to pay through different electronic methods. I finally said Venmo.

Then I got a text from that number above, (706) 280-5967, saying I needed to call them to verify my identity. That felt strange so I checked the Venmo app and their website. Venmo would never ask you to call some random number like that.

I didn't lose any money because I didn't call them. But it was definitely a phishing thing. Just wanted to report it.
