Fake rental listing on Facebook asked for my credit check

I was looking for a place to rent and found a really nice listing on Facebook Marketplace. The house looked perfect and the price was good so I messaged the person. We texted back and forth and they seemed normal.

They set up a time for me to view the place. Then right after that they sent me a link to secure.mymonthlyscore.com and said I had to do a pre-application for just $1. That felt strange so I didn’t click it or fill anything out.

I realized it was a phishing scam. They just wanted my info and probably my card number. The phone number they used was (702) 285-3014 and they said they were in Lima, OH. I didn’t lose any money but it was a waste of time.
