Tried to get a $70 application fee before I could see the property

Someone on Facebook Messenger was trying to rent out a place and told me I had to pay a $70 application fee before I could even go look at the property. That made no sense to me. Why would I pay to apply for something I haven't even seen yet.

They wanted the money through PayPal or Venmo, which felt off right away. The address they gave was 4156 hwy 225 n, Chatsworth, GA 30705. I didn't send anything so I'm not out any money, but I know this is how people get taken advantage of.

Just wanted to put this out there so nobody else falls for it.

Facebook page about free puppies misspelled shih tzu

I saw a page on Facebook Messenger that said free puppies. They spelled shih tzu as [censored]zu which I should have noticed. I was interested and asked some questions. First they said $500 then I told them I can't pay that for any dog. So they changed it to $150. Then they said I had to send a deposit of $75. I was stupid and sent them $75.

We were supposed to meet later in the week. The next day after taking my $75 they asked for $75 more for vaccinations. That's when I said no. That's when I realized it was a scam. They said Louisville KY but they could be anywhere, maybe Africa.

I reported it to Facebook but they said it doesn't break their community standards. So they don't care if it's a scam and people take money and give nothing back. I hope you can stop this. I saw more than one of these on Facebook.

Message saying I won $50,000 but they just need my info

Someone messaged me on Facebook Messenger saying I won $50,000 and they’re gonna FedEx it to me in cash. They said they just need my name, address, and email. I’m not sure what else they want because I haven’t accepted yet.

I want to know if this is a scam or if it’s for real. Can you tell me?

Getting messages from someone pretending to be Taylor Kinney

I keep getting messages in my Facebook Messenger from an imposter acting like Taylor Kinney. I told them I didn't think it was the real person. I've gotten so many of them within a couple weeks from different accounts. I blocked them and erased the conversation.

Then the other night I commented on a post on Facebook, and next thing you know I'm getting messages again on Messenger. This time I got a screenshot of it. It just keeps happening.

Sent a deposit for car rentals and never got it back

I got a message on Facebook Messenger about car rentals. I sent in a deposit of $400 for two rentals. They just cancelled my order after that. I've asked for my deposit back so many times. They haven't returned it. The contact number was 1(787) 485-5886. Nothing. I'm out the $400.
