Paid for a kitten and kept getting asked for more money

I saw a post about kittens and asked if they were available. The person said yes and we agreed on $200. I sent $100 as a down payment. Then they asked for $75 for a special cat carrier, so I sent that too. After that, they wanted another $50 on top.

Today they messaged saying their tire went flat and asked for $50 more. I said I wanted a refund instead. They told me their PayPal was down and they couldn't send money back. All this happened over Facebook Messenger. The conversation is way too long to screenshot the whole thing. I lost $225 total.
