Suspicious email about SAM.gov renewal with no government domain

We got an email that said it was a “formal notification” about a pending review of our SAM.gov registration. It said we had to take action to stay compliant with federal registration standards and it kinda hinted that if we didn’t do something we could lose access.

The message had a bunch of generic instructions about logging into SAM.gov and finding a notification to renew or validate. It mentioned stuff like CAGE Code access and TIN validation which sounded legit. But the email didn’t come from a .gov address. It came from something calling itself “Federal Registration Support Services.” There was a link in the email that went to a samregistration.com site which is definitely not a government website.

We didn’t click anything or reply. Just wanted to report it so other businesses know about it.
