Got a scary "final notice" letter with a fake check at my home address.
I got this letter in the mail marked as a FINAL NOTICE. It threatened to revoke some kind of waiver. It even had the address for my house right on it. That really threw me because I never got any first notice, so seeing "FINAL NOTICE" right away made me think it's a scam.
At the bottom of the paper, there's what looks like a check for $199.00. But if you look close, in tiny print it says THIS IS NOT A CHECK. The whole thing seems like a trick to get people to call their toll-free number, which is (888) 801-8190. Probably they want you to call so they can get your information and maybe get into your bank account. It just felt completely off.
