Job offer asked for my ID and a photo of me holding it

Someone reached out about a job and I thought it was legit. They had a website and everything. But then they asked for my ID and a picture of me holding it.

That just felt wrong so I didn’t do it. The email came from [email protected] and the website was some bit.ly link. They also gave an address in Bozeman, MT. Phone number was (406) 692-3756.

No money lost but still weird. Just a heads up.

Man from Fleetora called about a job I never applied for

Some guy from Fleetora called me saying I applied for a job. I don't remember applying for anything with them. They had me send my ID and a picture of me holding my ID, and then they asked me to do it again. The job was supposed to be me getting packages sent to my house, opening them, taking pictures, then reboxing them and shipping them out at FedEx or UPS. I still don't get what the point of all that is.

They keep calling me back to back if I don't pick up. They sent me an email to set up some dashboard account, and also a download with detailed pictures on how to take the photos. The first picture they sent is blurry, looks like two old people but I can't really make it out. It almost looks like my family honestly. I just want them to stop contacting me at this point. I think I'm gonna call my local authorities.
