Email about memorial measurements that made no sense to me
They were talking about memorial measurements but wrote them out all wrong. You don't write them like that. It's L x W x H, everyone knows that. And a black rose flower on a red headstone? That doesn't work that way. Why would a company in PA reach out to a company in NY for something like this? Also no one "collects" a memorial, that's not a thing.
The email came from [email protected] and their website is fredenburginteriordesign.com with an address in Bellefonte, PA. The phone number they used was (970) 433-6256. I didn't lose any money but I knew right away something was off.
Ordered blank t-shirts but billing address didn't match anything
They sent me an invoice and I paid it. I put in all my correct credit card info – name, number, expiration, full billing address, and the security code. It all went through their shopping cart system fine. But then they cancelled my order the same day. They said my credit card billing zip code was in Massachusetts and none of my billing data matched the website or the shipping address. So they just cancelled it.
Weird quote request for wheelchairs that did not feel right
It was from someone named Mike Fredenburg saying he was helping his uncle order 12 wheelchairs. He wanted the total cost with sales tax but no shipping. The email was [email protected].
We did not do anything with it because it just did not feel right. No money lost but wanted to report it.
Got a strange email trying to order wine for a pastor
He listed a bunch of wine, like 24 bottles of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon and others. He asked for a total cost with tax but no shipping, because he said they'd pick it up. He wanted the estimate sent to his company email, [email protected]. Then he said he'd get his uncle's approval and pay in advance.
The whole thing felt off. The phone number with the email was (970) 433-6256 and an address in Carmel, CA. It just didn't make sense, a pastor's nephew ordering all that wine through a design company. Seems like a scam, probably trying to pay with a fake check or something. No money was lost, but it was a weird attempt.
Got a weird email from someone claiming to be Michael Fredenburg
He wants the formal estimate sent to his business email, [email protected]. He says after his uncle approves it, he'll call to prepay in full and then collect it from the store. He also mentioned an interest in religious statues. He signed it with his name and a phone number, 970-433-6256.
The whole thing just felt off. I never contacted any interior design company about a monument. It reads like a phishing attempt, like they're trying to get a legitimate business to engage. I didn't lose any money, but it's a creepy message to get out of the blue.
