Job offer from GA Telesis turned out to be a fake hiring scam

I got an email from Daniel Morgan in HR at GA Telesis saying I was urgently hired for a transcriptionist position. They sent a contract and I signed it. Then a guy named David Mayor texts me from (718) 496-7362 saying I will get an e-check and to deposit it in my bank and then buy equipment from their vendor.

It felt off so I asked what department he worked in. He said he works for an external recruiter but his email says something different. Then he left a voicemail but no words just sounds like someone from another country. No money lost but this whole thing is a scam.
