Email saying Geek Squad charged me but I never used them
The email came from [email protected] and there was a phone number on it too, (865) 321-6660. I did not lose any money but I wanted to report it.
Email saying Geek Squad charged me $234.99
Fake Geek Squad invoice from a gmail address
The invoice also lists a phone number, (861) 529-2570, and says I only have 12 hours from when I received it to dispute or cancel the fee. The whole thing looks fake.
I don't have any account with them and never asked for anything, so this invoice doesn't make sense.
Email about renewing Geek Squad I never had
Email saying my Geek Squad subscription renewed
It says this subscription auto-renews every 2 years unless I turn it off. I never signed up for anything like this. Then it says if I did not authorize the transaction I have 24 hours to cancel and get a refund, and to call this number +1 (805) 396-4310. Same number is listed twice, once as customer support and once as help desk.
I did not call it. The email came from [email protected] which seems odd for a company like Geek Squad. I just wanted to report this.
Email saying I was billed for Geek Squad service I never ordered
The email came from [email protected] which is not Geek Squad. There was also a phone number 1(805) 512-9820 and an address in Pensacola, FL. I didn't pay anything but it was confusing. I just wanted to report it.
Got a weird email about a Geek Squad subscription I didn't buy.
Got a fake Geek Squad email saying I was charged $335
It listed an activation key and called it "PremiumShield Coverage" for a 2-year warranty. It had a customer ID too. But I never signed up for any of this. The email said to call 808-221-3294 if I wanted to cancel or get a refund.
The whole thing felt off. I looked it up and it's a known scam. They want you to call that number. I didn't lose any money, but getting this kind of phishing email is really annoying and worrying.
Got a fake Geek Squad email and they almost took over my bank account
He told me the only way to get the refund was to follow a link he sent. I clicked it and they took control of my computer. They had me type in the refund amount and I accidentally added an extra number. They instantly sent it to my bank. Then they got demanding, saying I had to send the extra money back by buying gift cards.
I said okay but went to my bank instead. They stopped it by closing my account. I've spent a whole week trying to get everything straight.
Called for computer repair, got a fake company that took my money
After I hung up, I saw it wasn't totally fixed. They gave me a number to call if I had more problems. Since I'd been on the phone so long, I didn't call back right away. When I finally called the number they gave me, it was not in service. They charged me $429.48.
