Got a fake Geek Squad email and they almost took over my bank account
I got an email saying I was billed $492.99 for Geek Squad services. I replied to cancel it. They asked for my phone number and then called from 415-423-6379. The guy said his name was Alex Turner and gave an ID number 0957530. He asked why I wanted to cancel.
He told me the only way to get the refund was to follow a link he sent. I clicked it and they took control of my computer. They had me type in the refund amount and I accidentally added an extra number. They instantly sent it to my bank. Then they got demanding, saying I had to send the extra money back by buying gift cards.
I said okay but went to my bank instead. They stopped it by closing my account. I've spent a whole week trying to get everything straight.

Called for computer repair, got a fake company that took my money
I called what I thought was Geek Squad for a computer repair. Somehow a different company intercepted the call. They told me they were the Geek Squad and said they could fix my computer over the phone. They did fix part of the problem, but not everything. I was on the phone with them for several hours.
After I hung up, I saw it wasn't totally fixed. They gave me a number to call if I had more problems. Since I'd been on the phone so long, I didn't call back right away. When I finally called the number they gave me, it was not in service. They charged me $429.48.
