Email said I was charged and then Alex asked me to buy gift cards

I got an email saying a payment was taken out of my checking account and I had no idea about it. So I contacted Geeksquad since they were the company on the email. Their call center person said I could get a refund and then they connected me to Alex in the refund department.

Alex told me I would get my money back in 48 hours or they would give me extra for the trouble. I tried calling him a bunch of times and finally he called me back saying he lost his phone so that was why he didn't answer. Then over the next three days he kept telling me to go get a gift card and put my money on it so he could send me my refund. I ended up losing $234.99.
