Received a fake invoice email pretending to be from my director

I got an email that was supposedly forwarded to me. It showed a previous conversation from my Director saying to forward the invoice to me. The scammer sent it. There was an invoice attached, plus a W9 form with business info to set up a new vendor.

The total bill was for $49,334.79. My Director hadn't mentioned anything about it to me, so I didn't pay it. I spoke with her and she said the whole thing was a total fabrication. It's an elaborate scam. I have the attached forms.
