Wedding food vendor canceled invoice after asking for full payment

I reached out to a vendor for food for my wedding on 9/26/26. They sent the invoice and said half was due before the date. When I went to pay half it asked for the full amount instead. I asked if we could do a tasting and they said it would cost $1,000.

I asked for info on who the DJ or bartender would be but they never gave me anything. I looked up the business and there is no license in VA for this name. It shows up in CA and used to be in FL. They are not on Thumbtack anymore and they canceled the invoice. I just hope nobody else sends them money.
