Message about legal papers being served with a phone number that doesn't check out
So I looked into Goldman and Associates. They don't show up in Georgia at all. From what I can find they're a family attorney in Michigan, not a debt collector or anything like that. The numbers in the message don't lead to any real attorney or debt collection office I can find. Whole thing felt off.
Voicemail saying my wife has a court hearing today
The message was a recording. It said it was for my wife and that she had a preliminary hearing scheduled for today at 9 AM. It said because she didn't show up or send in a written response about her Social Security number they are filing a motion against her in court. Then it said to call Goldman and Associates at 943-207-9579.
The whole thing felt off. No real company name on the voicemail just that department name. And the way it was worded didn't make sense. I didn't call the number.
Phone call saying legal papers being served with no company details
She told me if nobody over 18 would be there I need to call Goldman and associates at 943-207-9655 and give case number 23519. Said if I don’t respond it doesn’t let me off the hook for legal action. Also said the call is being logged for the court.
Something felt off about it. No real company name on anything. Just a phone number and a case number. I didn’t lose any money but it was pretty unsettling.
Got a scary voicemail about legal papers being served
The message said if I wanted to redirect them, I needed to call Goldman and Associates at 404-868-1427. I didn't answer the call, so this was all from the voicemail. It felt really off and scary, getting a message like that out of the blue. I never signed up for anything or got any notice before this.
Got a scary call about a court hearing I know nothing about
The message said to contact the law firm of Goldman and Associates if I had questions. They gave the number (464) 217-0561 and told me to refer to case number 22578-01. The caller said this call was being logged and would satisfy the court's notification requirement.
It was a threat about being taken to court or served at my work for some past money I supposedly owe. I've never heard of this. I can put a copy of the message here. It didn't make any sense to me and felt really off.
Getting scary calls about a fake court case and hearing
Then on March 23rd, I got another unknown call. This time they said a preliminary hearing was scheduled for that morning at 9 a.m. They said because I didn't participate or send a written response about a complaint linked to my social security number, a Motion was being filed. They told me again to contact Goldman and Associates at that same number, 214-810-7787, and use the same case number. They said this call was being filed to satisfy the court's notification rules. It's just really unsettling.
