Paid $950 for shoddy chimney work after a confusing text message

I was looking for chimney services on Yelp and somehow my request went to Google. I got a text from a company and thought it was legitimate. They sent two different workers on two different days in unmarked cars. They had inadequate equipment and did about two hours of repair in a really shoddy, messy way. They didn't do a proper inspection or repair. They only did partial work before I realized it was a scam and they were just trying to upsell me.

The whole thing was confusing because they used multiple phone numbers and business names in the texts, like City Line Chimney and ChimneyServices. The email I have is [email protected] and a phone number (310) 295-0813. They took $950 from me for basically nothing.
