Facebook account alert that led to a fake support number

I was just on Facebook and a pop-up came up saying account alert, then another window opened saying my account was compromised. Then a few seconds later another pop-up said my computer has a virus. So I restarted my system and googled Facebook support phone number.

I got (805)-512-5520 and called it. The person said they saw login from 2 places and now it was from mine too. They walked me through some steps and the next thing I realized they had scammed me out of 5100 dollars. I don't even know how it happened so fast.
