Thought I was on the official passport site but it was a third party

Twice now I thought I was on the official US passport website and somehow the application ends up going to a third party. I don't even know how it happens. You think you're on the real government site.

They got me for 2.15 dollars. It's not a ton of money but it's the principle. The website looked legit. Their email is [email protected] and the phone number they list is (856) 556-3505. Address says CA, USA.

Just feels shady. I was just trying to renew my passport and ended up somewhere else. No idea how they make it redirect like that.
