They said I was getting 2600 for a grant but never sent anything

I’m a single disabled mom and I also take care of my 25 year old who is in a wheelchair permanently. Someone called me from San Antonio and said I was supposed to get 2600 dollars from some government grant thing. They said we were gonna get it and I was so relieved because things have been really hard.

But nothing ever came. No check, no deposit, nothing. I never heard back from them after that. I didn’t lose any money because I didn’t send them anything but it still felt really wrong. They got my hopes up for nothing. I don’t even know the company name. Just a number from Texas.
