Job offer through my university email with no interview

Someone reached out to me through my university email about a personal assistant job. I filled out a google form and they accepted me the next day. That felt weird right away.

The person said they were in Australia but wanted me to buy stuff for three orphanages. They said they would send a cashier's check for payment. I never had an interview and they didn't even ask for my resume. They did ask me to fill out an I-9 form though. It all seemed suspicious so I didn't go any further with it.
