Text about a loan offer that wanted me to send money first

I got a text message about a loan offer for $15,000 for 60 months at $300 a month. First payment was due on August 3rd 2026. So we exchanged emails, texts, and phone calls.

Then he told me to go to Walmart and send him $300 to make sure I was going to pay the loan back. He said he would send me back $15,300 in 24 hours. He just wanted to confirm I was going to make the payments. I told him I would call him when I got to Walmart and he would give me a barcode to upload the cash to his account.

I didn't send anything. It just felt wrong.
