Got a fake final notice mailer about my mortgage

I got this mailer that looks just like the ones for W-2 or 1099 forms. It said it was a final notice from HAPO Community Credit Union about a mortgage loan. The note said, "We are trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage." It said my immediate attention was required and to call 1-878-251-2331.

The mortgage ID they referenced doesn't match anything on my closing documents. This is a scam. I saw a similar one before with a different phone number.

Got a weird mortgage letter with wrong info telling me to call a number

I got this security mailer in the mail, like the kind they use for tax forms. The return address wasn't there, but it had "HAPO COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION" on it, which is a real credit union. Inside it talked about my mortgage, with a mortgage ID, my county, a closing date, a loan amount, and a lender name.

The message said, "We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage. Please call 1-833-408-1597." A lot of the details seemed right, but the loan amount they listed wasn't completely correct. The mortgage ID was wrong too, based on the actual paperwork I got from the title company when I closed.

It just felt off. The info wasn't right, and they just wanted me to call this number.
