Got a strange email from a law firm asking me to use Signal

I got an email from someone named James M. Chanes at harrisonlawsfirm.com. The email was asking me to get in touch using the Signal app. I've never known a law firm to use Signal like that. It just felt off.

The phone number listed was 1(646) 408-7339 and an address in Long Island City, NY. I don't have any business with them. I've never heard of this firm before. The whole thing makes me skeptical. I feel like this is some kind of scam.
