Phone call offering free stuff if I just say yes two times

They called me from (844) 518-0611 saying they help families in need with different resources. The lady offered me an AT&T device and a 100+ gift card. She said all I had to do was say yes 2 times.

Then she started telling me to stay on the phone and listen to them talk cause a lot of people hang up and miss out on the benefits. That right there made me hang up too. She basically told me without saying it was a scam.

Got a text about updating hardship needs I never applied for

I received this text: “Helping Hands: Action Req. Update Your Hardship Needs Below https://helpinghandsact.com/retarget/********************** STOP to OptOut”

I have never applied to the organization for assistance. I googled it and it seems to be a scam. The phone number they used was (866) 455-0399. I didn’t lose any money but it felt off. No idea how they got my number.
