Hired a personal chef through Thumbtack and she disappeared with my money

I was looking for a personal chef to cater a meal for my family of 14 for a special occasion. Hillary Gillis reached out to me through Thumbtack, but shes not even registered on that site anymore. She put together a menu and told me the price would be $2584 to have her do the event.

I paid it all in full by April like we agreed. By May none of the contact info I had for her was working anymore. It took me a while to find a current working number and email and when we finally texted she was really rude about it. I got suspicious so I canceled the whole thing and asked for a full refund. She said she would do it and it would take ten business days. That time has passed and I never got the refund on my visa. Im still working on trying to get my money back.
